Innovative Metro Boston life science company seeks 5th- 8th year IP attorney to be part of a winning team with a mission to help life science experts around the world get to answers they can trust. This position, which reports to the Chief Intellectual Property Counsel, will serve as trusted counsel on all IP issues (with a particular focus on invention mining, patentability, patent prosecution and freedom to operate), locally and globally, by giving solid and practical IP legal advice. Responsibilities include leading outside counsel in the preparation and prosecution of patent and trademark applications; negotiating, drafting, and reviewing agreements such as licenses, research agreements, collaboration agreements, confidentiality agreements and material transfer agreements; and conducting freedom to operate assessments on emerging technology. Minimum of one to two years in-house experience strongly preferred. This is an on-site, five days a week role. Great opportunity to be part of collegial team with great work – life balance.
